Dr. Helen Titilola Olojede

Titilola Olojede is a Lecturer and Head of the Department of Philosophy at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). Titilola conducts research at the intersection of ethics, African philosophy, and gender philosophy.

She is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Global Value Inquiry, where her research focuses on recovering African women’s contributions to philosophy. She is a member of the draft committee for Nigeria's National AI Strategy, the Chair of the AI Ethics and Social Impact sub-group, and a member of the committee on integrating AI into NOUN and Nigeria’s university system.

Titilola is a recipient of several research and travel grants. She has published relevant papers, including, Research Integrity and Generative AI: An Oxymoron?, Influence of GenAI on Higher Education in Nigeria, Techno-solutionism a Fact or Farce?, On Decolonising AI, and Towards Africa AI Ethical Principles.

AI 2030 recognised Helen in the 2024 Women in AI Leadership—Excellence in AI Academia and Research. She was named one of the 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics for 2024.
