Dr Ender Konukoglu

I joined ETH Zurich in August 2016 as an assistant professor (with tenure track) of biomedical image computing following a PhD at INRIA Sophia Antipolis, a postdoctoral position at Microsoft Research in Cambridge and a junior faculty position at Harvard Medical School / Massachusetts General Hospital. In August 2022, I was appointed as an associate professor of biomedical image computing. Research in my group focuses on developing algorithms for interpreting biomedical images and next generation intelligent medical image acquisition systems with a particular focus on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Towards this end, we investigate novel machine learning technologies, specifically aiming for generalizable and reliable algorithms that can take the field of biomedical imaging to the next level by automating tasks, allowing fusion of different data sources, and improving the acquired data’s quality and information content.
