Leeds Annual Statistical Research (LASR) Workshops started about 50 years ago by Professor Kanti Mardia as an Annual Event to foster Interdisciplinary Research in Statistics in an emerging area of science. LASR today is a well-established international conference and has been instrumental in bringing together different scientific communities over the years. The workshop format is a mixture of invited and contributed talks. It has a tradition of being informal, and relaxed and encouraging interaction and discussion between the participants.
This year conference, focuses on: AI and Ethics, Medical Imaging and Decision Making. We will bring together experts on this topics distributed on 3 sections.
Logistics
Attendance is free and open to all (maximum 50), but registration is needed
- Please arrive at 12:30 in EC Stoner 7.83 for registration and lunch.
- Catering will be provided in EC Stoner 7.83 on the 1st and 2nd of July.
- Talks will be held in EC Stoner 7.79 on the 1st and 2nd of July.
- Directions: From level 10 heading into EC Stoner Building from the ‘red route’, take staircase 4 down to level 7 go through the double doors ahead on the right, follow the corridor round, room 7.79 is on the left, just after the toilet. For an accessible route, please take follow the red route at level 10, take the lift to level 7, turn right through the double doors, turn left following the corridor, room 7.79 is on the left and room 7.83 is at the end of the corridor. Outside Access: Entrance 4 North to EC stoner, turn right through the double doors, turn left following the corridor, room 7.79 is on the left and room 7.83 is at the end of the corridor.
