About the event

The IDEAL – Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity in Algebra conference, taking place on 7–8 October 2025, is a two-day event bringing together algebraists from across the UK. It will feature short research talks, a Distinguished Lecture by Professor Karin Erdmann, and panel discussions on challenges faced by underrepresented groups in academia.

The workshop will start on the afternoon of 7th October with talks and discussions, followed by a social dinner. 8th October will continue with panel discussions and a poster session, before closing with the Distinguished Lecture.

We encourage participation from researchers at all career stages, particularly underrepresented groups.
