Smart Data Research LogoSmart Data Research UK (SDR UK) is a UK Research and Innovation investment in digital infrastructure. It's a national programme to transform how we use data generated through everyday digital interactions, from smartphones to smart home devices.  

Launched in 2023, the programme has established six specialised data services to provide safe and secure access to this valuable data. Enabling researchers to understand our world better and help solve pressing social and economic challenges.

HASP logoThe Healthy and Sustainable Places Data Service (HASP) represents a groundbreaking approach to understanding and improving our communities.

As one of six SDR UK data services, we focus on helping researchers to understand healthy and sustainable mobilitylifestyles and food by providing researchers access to diverse and high-quality smart data in these domains.

HASP builds upon ten years of expertise, gained via the Consumer Data Research Centre (Leeds). Over the past decade, the team has specialised in the access, curation, secure storage and utilisation of smart data.
