Location and Travel
Conference Venue
The Conference is being hosted by the University of Leeds. You can find information on how to reach the University here:
- Workshops on the 20th April will be centred around the School of Earth and Environment.
- Presentations on the 21st and 22nd April will take place in the Rupert Beckett Lecture Theatre, with Poster Sessions and Exhibitors Stands in the south wing of the historic Parkinson Building.
Travel
The university is a 15/20-minute walk from both the city centre and from Leeds Train Station.
Leeds itself is easily reached either by:
- Train to Leeds Train Station.
- Air, by flying to either:
- Leeds Bradford Airport (connections to the city by bus or taxi).
- Manchester Airport (connections to Leeds by rail). Please note that during ongoing upgrades to the TransPennine rail route, it is possible that travel from Manchester Airport to Leeds may require a change of train in Manchester itself.
- The University is easily accessible by car. For parking, we will have a code that allows visitors to park on campus for the £7 a day rate in the Orange Zone (this does not need to be pre-booked) - please get in touch with us ahead of the conference, if you would like to use this facility. We cannot guarantee that there will be parking spaces available as we can’t reserve these, but parking is also available in the Woodhouse Lane car park as well.
Accommodation
We are not providing accommodation as part of the conference. Attendees requiring a place to stay during the conference will need to arrange their own accommodation. Leeds hosts many hotels, in the city centre, which are convenient for access to the University.
