Grace Phiri

Grace is a final year PhD candidate. She holds a BEng in Food Engineering and MRes in Food Waste Management using smart technology, both from Leeds Beckett University.

Grace's PhD - Sanitation is a “Human Right” - focus is on the psychosocial impacts of the current public toilet woes in UK cities and public spaces on unhoused rough sleepers. She examines the complexities of normative policies and how they have influenced public toilet citizenship - A case study of Leeds City Centre.
