Dikko Yusuf

Dikko Yusuf is a first year PhD student at the school of English in the University of Leeds. He has worked as a freelance writer for the World Institute on Disability, and as a project coordinator at a DPO in Nigeria. His current research is on African literary audiobooks. Dikko‘s work seeks to develop a literary analytical tool for studying African texts in audiobook format. His thesis is incorporating both written and oral modes to explore the interplay between the audiobook medium and how it facilitates storytelling in African fiction. His research is funded by the White Rose College of the Arts and Humanities. Dikko is from the northern Nigerian state of Kaduna.
