This session will be a roundtable discussion among researchers with related expertise, including those who use cost-effectiveness analysis to address health care interventions and those who use benefit-cost analysis to address interventions outside the health care system. The session aims to promote the linking of valuation of weather and climate services with other similar and partly overlapping application areas such as transport, health, energy economics, as well as to promote embedding in advances in theory and methodologies of cost benefit analysis, with a particular focus on the balance between sophistication and easy replicability.
