Dr Daniela De Canditiis

Dr Daniela De Canditiis graduated in Mathematics in 1995 from the University of Naples “Federico II,” where she also obtained a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science in 2002. Since then, she has been with the Institute for Applied Calculus (IAC-CNR), where she currently holds the position of Senior Researcher. Her research focuses on mathematical modelling and statistical inference for both low-dimensional and high-dimensional data. In particular, she develops novel statistical and machine learning methods for the analysis of complex data, with expertise spanning nonparametric regression, graphical model inference, survival analysis, and clustering techniques. She has contributed to numerous interdisciplinary projects across diverse application domains, including atmospheric physics, genetics, medicine, neuroscience, cultural heritage, and environmental sciences.
