Friday 18th September 2015 University of Sheffield \u2013 Researcher Education & Development Conference<\/strong>. This inaugural conference was timely, and in-line with recent sector calls for the professionalisation of the researcher developer role. Those who develop research staff and students, were invited to strengthen their links to evidence-based practice and the impact agenda, by coming together to share and discover the scholarly work that underpins robust and innovative education of research staff and students.<\/p>\n Programme:<\/strong>\u00a0The conference opened with keynote perspectives delivered by\u00a0Dr Steve Hutchinson<\/strong>, researcher development consultant and author of\u00a0Enhancing the Doctoral Experience: A Guide for Supervisors and their International Students<\/a>, and was followed by paper presentations from colleagues in education, career, and learning & development disciplines who have a research interest across aspects of researcher development.
