Empirical tutorial

The empirical tutorial offers the opportunity to engage in introductory exercises focusing on either linear regression or discrete choice models. Participants have the flexibility to work with R or STATA. This tutorial caters to participants seeking experience in estimating linear regression or discrete choice models, as well as those aiming to familiarize themselves with R or STATA.

Stefanie Peer is Associate Professor at the Department for Socioeconomics and head of the Research Institute for Spatial and Real Estate Economics, both at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Most of her research concerns the mobility and time use behavior of individuals, usually employing quantitative empirical approaches, in particular discrete choice models. Her research has been published in various transportation as well as general economics journals. She is currently Secretary of ITEA and also heads the ITEA summer school committee.
