Keynote presentations will be given by John Eacott and Renee Timmers. Renee will give a talk about her research into cross-modal associations with music and applications in visual feedback on performance, and will discuss evidence of cross-domain mappings using a number of different experimental paradigms, before presenting applications of such mappings in the design of visual feedback on music performance. John’s talk will be followed by a performance of his algorithmic composition ‘Flood Tide’, which generates a live music from tidal flow information.
