Colloquium

The Logic Colloquium 2016, organized under the auspices of the Association for Symbolic Logic, was held at the University of Leeds (UK) in August 2016. There were 12 plenary speakers, one of whom gave the Gödel Lecture.
The International Colloquium on the Dynamics of Explosions and Reactive Systems (ICDERS) has been held every two years since its founding in 1967 by N. Manson, A.K. Oppenheim, and R. Soloukhin. The colloquium has been the premier international forum for the presentation of scientific contributions in the fields of explosions and unsteady combustion, where there is strong coupling between reaction and fluid mechanics.
2012 Wilhelm Raabe literature prize winner Christian Kracht gave a public reading from his latest novel Imperium (Empire) at the Leeds Central Library on Monday 19th October at 5:30pm.
